1. WHAT IS HTML CODE?
HTML stands for Hyper Text Markup Language, and is the code for creating web pages on the internet.
2. WHAT IS SEO?
SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization, and is the process of reaching the first page of search engines for keywords which will drive targeted traffic to your website.
3. WHY DO YOU NEED TO KNOW HTML FOR SEO?
Its important to know HTML code so you can optimize your website for popular search engines. HTML code provides useful information to search engines so they can rank your website for the appropriate keywords. Optimizing your website properly may even land your website on Page 1 of Google for certain keywords.
4. WHAT ARE THE HTMP CODES ESSENTIAL FOR SEO?
TITLE TAG:

The Title Tag is the title displayed on search engines. Title tags can only be 60 characters in length, and should include your company name as well as your primary keyword. Your Primary Keyword is the Main keyword you would like to target on search engines.

META DESCRIPTION TAG:

The Meta Description Tag is the description displayed on search engines. Meta Descriptions can only be 160 characters in length, and should contain your secondary keywords. Write a natural descriptions and incorporate your secondary keywords naturally. Do not spam keywords.

HEADER TAG:

The Header Tags increase the size of your text to appear as a header text. There are different sizes of header tags ranging from 1-6. Search engines look at header tags as they usually contain important keywords which contributes to the overall SEO ranking score.

IMAGE ALT TAGS:

The Image Alt tags helps you optimize your website images. Google cannot read images, describing your image in the "alt tag" helps Google understand what is displayed on the image. This helps your overall SEO score, plus you could have your images rank on page 1 of Google which could drive more traffic to your site.

NO FOLLOW TAGS:

No Follow Tags is an important part of link building. Link building is the process of placing your website link on other websites, which will positively contribute to your overall SEO score. Your website link will either be presented as a "Do Follow" or "No Follow" link. Your link building strategy needs to look natural and should have a mix of Do Follow and No Follow links.

ANCHOR TEXT TAGS:

Anchor Text plays a vital role in link building campaigns. Anchor text is readable text which contains a hyperlink. A hyperlink is a link to another web-page or website. Smart SEO strategy requires putting your primary and secondary keywords in your anchor texts. The strategy needs to be carefully planned as anchor texts requires specific percentages of keyword distribution. Do not use the same keyword in most of your anchor text, incorporate your URL, company name, and natural mix of anchor texts.

CONONICAL TAGS


Your website address can have multiple means of being accessed. They can either be "http" or "https", and the option of having the "www" abbreviation displayed. Its important the cononical tag as it will tell sites such as Google, what URL you would like to rank for. Its important to have an SSL certficate installed on your website to meet Google's guidenlines, secure websites contain the "https" in the domain name.
